Appalachian Mt Club Summit Leadership Workshop

“Growing Your Inner Leader” was the topic of a workshop at the January 26, 2019, Appalachian Mountain Club Summit in Norwood, MA. 40 people were engaged in the session that highlighted positive leadership traits and suggested ways to embrace them in participants’ lives, helping to grow their personal leadership style. Topics included formal vs.informal leadership; that a leader’s actions and behaviors can have a profound impact on people’s lives, positively (or negatively) impacting engagement, morale, retention, safety, outcomes, and success; that trust is earned by building relationships; and the most effective leadership is driven by “inner game” qualities and behaviors. Applying the lessons, participants each developed a personal Leadership Self-Assessment.
