Leadership Training and Organizational Development at Super Thin Saws

I am excited to be working again with this Waterbury, Vermont manufacturer of carbide-tipped saw blades. This project will help grow the business, benefit employees, and ensure that STS thrives for many years to come.

A recent leadership training included formal vs informal roles, how the way one does a job impacts others, and embracing personal and business change. Participants did an analysis of positive changes at STS and areas that could benefit from further improvement.

Follow-up activities are underway to clarify job responsibilities and develop a new organizational chart. The intent is to have clearer job descriptions for all STS positions that define measurable results and foster increased accountability. A new employee handbook will be drafted in a format that will be practical and usable on an everyday basis.
